Skeppsteknik och Marin Teknologi

Sverige har under alla tider varit en sjöfarts- och skeppsbyggnadsnation av stor betydelse. För den svenska skeppsindustrin (varvsverksamhet, offshoreutrustning, fartygsmaskineri, propulsion, etc.), rederinäringen inklusive färjetrafik är det av stor vikt att ha kännedom om, samt ges möjlighet att deltaga i pågående arbeten inom ISO för att kunna påverka det internationella standardiseringsarbetet.

Sverige har under alla tider varit en sjöfarts- och skeppsbyggnadsnation av stor betydelse. Några bevis för detta är ju bl.a. vikingaskeppen och vikingarnas långväga handelsresor, Sveriges sjöfartsroll under Hansatiden, oceangående fartyg i samband med Ostindieepoken på 1700-talet, båtar för transporter på kanaler, älvar och i slussar, utbredd kustsjöfart med inhemskt produktion av lämpligt tonnage, stor varvsnation såväl civilt och militärt, samt nytänkande på fartygssidan inom såväl färjesektorn som traditionell rederiverksamhet.

För den svenska skeppsindustrin (varvsverksamhet, offshoreutrustning, fartygsmaskineri, propulsion, etc.), rederinäringen inklusive färjetrafik är det av stor vikt att ha kännedom om, samt ges möjlighet att deltaga i pågående arbeten inom ISO för att kunna påverka det internationella standardiseringsarbetet.
