It contains the definitions for execution with pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are not made on the threads according to DIN EN ISO 228-1. The ports do not correspond to those of the DIN EN ISO 1179-1. Ports according this part of DIN 3852 can be used at a maximum working pressure of 25 MPa (250 bar) with suitable stud ends and O ring. The maximum pressure is among other things dependent from the size of the port, the materials, the design, the operating conditions and the case of use. The used stud ends according to DIN EN ISO 1179-4 shall be chosen accordingly. The ports according to this part of DIN 3852 are planned for the use in the gas installation and water installation as well as in facilities for liquid fuels and hazardous to waters liquids. They shall not be used in pneumatic or hydraulic power transmission facilities.
