This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of lead, cadmium, chromium and molybdenum in foodstuffs by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) after pressure digestion. Specific foodstuffs for which European Standards exist are excluded from the scope of this horizontal European Standard. The analyst shall review if vertical standards exist.
