This document is applicable for sealing caps with sealing lens to shut off male test connections on valves according to DIN 16271, and protective hoods for test connections on cocks according to DIN 16263 and valves according to DIN 16272, for pressure gauges at a maximum permissible temperature of 120 °C and nominal pressure PN 400 (which corresponds to the maximum permissible pressure PS in bar at room temperature). This document specifies one design (Form C) for sealing caps with sealing lens and one design (Form D) for protextive hoods. Protective hoods are only utilizable for male test connections which can be shut off by the valve stem or cock plug itself and are therefore pressureless, as is the case for cocks according to DIN 16263 and shut-off valves according to DIN 16272. Caps with sealing lens can always be used instead of protective hoods.
