The standard specifies the working procedure for the standardization at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V.. It specifies all processing stages between the proposal for standards work and the publication of the standard. This standard differs from DIN 820-4:2014-06 as follows: a) in Clause 4.7 the time for tracking the work progress was updated; b) the terminology for specifications were modified; c) the standard has been editorially revised. The responsible standardization committee is Working Committee NA 173-00-01 AA "Normungsgrundsätze" ("Standardization principles") at the Principles of Standardization Standards Committee (NAGLN).
