This standard specifies forest and forest management information which can be exchanged. This standard specifies the following information: — results from observations of features in stands, parts of stands, sites, areas of land and individual trees — description of when, where, how and with what results inventory of the forest took place — description of when and where specific forestry measures are planned to take place or have taken place. This standard specifies the following aspects of the information: — a description of the implications of the various elements of the information — a class diagram describing the structure of the information — conditions defining when information is mandatory — rules on when and how a value domain is to be adapted — rules on XML coding of the information — rules on the formulation of an XML schema for data validation — specification of what needs to be agreed in respect of data exchange, in addition to this standard. This standard does not include: — requirements indicating which observations are to be made in a particular context, or — XML schema — communications protocol for data exchange.
