SIS implements projects in developing countries, mainly funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, and the European Union. The aim is to strengthen the capacity of National Standard Bodies to develop national, regional and international standards. Another important component is to increase the use of standards within organizations, government agencies and companies.
SIS is currently working in Bolivia and Azerbaijan.
