Grafiska symboler

Användande av enhetliga och funktionella grafiska symboler gör olika platser i samhället tillgängliga för alla människor. I Sverige, Europa och även globalt pågår arbete inom standardiseringen som syftar till att förbättra och skapa publika informationssymboler för ökad tillgänglighet.

Påverka nationellt och internationellt

Kommittén skapar ett forum för svenskt agerande i den internationella standardiseringen, genom att vi aktivt medverkar i både den europeiska och den internationella standardiseringsorganisationen CEN och ISO. På så sätt kan vi driva utvecklingen av standarderna så att de främjar samhället och tillgänglighet för alla människor. Ett arbete som skapar fri rörlighet av service mellan länder, vilket underlättar för människor i en allt mer global värld.

Ett värdefullt arbete

I kommittén samlas expertkunskap genom representanter från intresseorganisationer, myndigheter, kommuner, landsting eller övriga i branschen. Standardiseringsarbetet ger deltagarna djupare insikt om standarder och hur man kan förbättra tillgängligheten i samhället. Deltagarna är samtidigt med och påverkar framtidens standarder, vilket också leder till nya insikter och tidig information som kan omsättas i den egna verksamhetsutvecklingen.

Standard för grafiska symboler

SIS standard med publika informationssymboler har uppdaterats 2018. Totalt tillkommer nu 19 nya symboler. Symbolerna kan köpas styckvis inklusive standarden.
