Grafiska symboler

Användande av enhetliga och funktionella grafiska symboler gör olika platser i samhället tillgängliga för alla människor. I Sverige, Europa och även globalt pågår arbete inom standardiseringen som syftar till att förbättra och skapa publika informationssymboler för ökad tillgänglighet.

Kommitten arbetar med standardisering av symboler och symbolers användning och tillämpning både internationellt och nationellt. Kommitténs särskilda fokus är på tillgänglighet och begriplighet.

Alla symboler som publiceras i ISO-standarder hanteras i ISO-kommittén Graphical symbols, ISO/TC 145 som kommittén ansvarar för.

Kommittén arbetar också med ta fram svenska symboler som samlas i standarden SS 30600. Se vilka de är under rubriken Nationella grafiska symboler nedan.
