This part of ISO/IEC 7812 specifies the application and registration procedures for Issuer Identification Numbers (IINs) issued in accordance with ISO/IEC 7812-1. ISO/IEC 7812-1 specifies a numbering system for the identification of issuers of cards that require an IIN to operate in international, interindustry and/or intra-industry interchange.
