This document establishes:


—    principles and methods for the performance assessment of presentation attack detection (PAD) mechanisms;


—    reporting of testing results from evaluations of PAD mechanisms; and


—    a classification of known attack types (Annex A).


Outside the scope are:


—    standardization of specific PAD mechanisms;
