Konstruktionsstål

Varmvalsad plåt, profil och konstruktionsrör av allmänna konstruktionsstål är grunden för stålbyggnad men används även i många andra sammanhang som lyftkranar, lyktstolpar, ramar för lastbilar. Tunnplåt och belagd tunnplåt används till tak och ytterväggar, bilkarosser och vitvaror. Stål som är avsedda att värmebehandlas eller bearbetas med skärande bearbetning används i maskiner och verktyg. SIS/TK 142 svarar för ett stort materialområde som används i många typer av produkter och konstruktioner.

Standardiseringen inom Allmänna konstruktionsstål, SIS/TK 142 behandlar bland annat:

  •  materialspecifikationer
  •  tekniska leveransbestämmelser
  •  dimensioner och toleranser
  •  specifika provningsmetoder
  •  harmonisering mot Byggproduktförordningen.

Arbetet är inriktat mot standarder för varmvalsade allmänna konstruktionsstål inom CEN/TC 459/SC 3 och tunnplåt inom CEN/TC 459/SC 9 och legerade stål (undantaget rostfritt stål) i CEN/TC 459/SC 5. Motsvarande arbete inom ISO bevakas också.

Kommittén medverkar aktivt i arbetet med standarder så att nationellt implementerad europastandard täcker svensk industris behov och traditioner i Sverige. Det kan gälla bl.a. krav på svetsbarhet och formtoleranser eller stålsorter som tillverkas i Sverige.

I kommittén samlas expertkunskap genom representanter från materialtillverkare, grossister, certifieringsorgan, och myndigheter. Genom att medverka får deltagarna insikt om standardernas krav och deras tillämpning och tillgång till ett värdefullt nätverk. Deltagarna är samtidigt med och påverkar framtidens standarder, vilket också leder till nya insikter och tidig information som kan omsättas i den egna verksamhetsutvecklingen.

I Sverige är vi duktiga på att använda och tillverka höghållfast stålplåt. Genom att europastandarder innefattar dessa typer av stål kan de användas inom fler områden.
