This document constitutes a coating specification for execution of new steel structures with an expected technical lifespan of 80 or 120 years. The coating specification relates to bridges and bridge-like steel structures covered by SS-EN 1090–2:2018+A1:2024.

This document has been prepared according to , which includes a general coating specification for steel structures; SS-EN ISO 12944–5:2019, which includes proposals for suitable coating systems; and SS-EN ISO 12944-7, which includes proposals for inspection of painting contracts.
