This document specifies the properties of steel and stainless steel eyebolts for lower load capacities compared to DIN EN ISO 3266 per diameter. Eyebolts according to this document can be used as part of slings or as fixed attachment points of machines. As mobile lifting equipment, eyebolts within the European Union require CE marking in accordance with the Machinery Directive (EC Directive 2006/42/EC). Annex B provides guidance on the implementation of the requirements resulting from the current legal situation at the time of this edition of the standard. The European Machinery Directive is directed, among other things, at the manufacturer or his authorized representative. He is responsible for compliance with the requirements of the directive. Furthermore, this document provides information on their correct use in lift operation. Eyebolts according to this document can be used in a temperature range from -20 °C to +200 °C without restriction of the load capacity.
