This document specifies general requirements for engineering geodetic activities, also taking into account the requirements of the BIM method. DIN 18710-2, DIN 18710-3 and DIN 18710-4 provide supplementary specifications for the tasks of recording, setting out and monitoring. This document ensures the quality of engineering geodetic activities and standardizes the verification of such activities. It contributes to - obtaining reliable results, - making the data obtained available for its intended use, and - being able to interpret the results clearly.
