DIN 66401 specifies the application specific parameters for the marking of very small products und thus enables their unique identification. For the matrix symbologies which are relevant for this standard and for the data structure, DIN 66401 is based on the corresponding international standards. DIN 66401 further specifies minimal physical dimensions for the application and the reading of unique serial numbers.
