This standard specifies: — the characteristics and performance requirements for tubing, hoses and assemblies made of either rub-ber or plastics in sizes up to a nominal inside diameter, DI, of 12,5 mm for use with commercial propane and butane and mixtures thereof, in the vapour phase, for the connection of appliances in environments with a temperature range from – 30 °C to + 60 °C and working pressures from 0,02 MPa to 2,0 MPa; NOTE Connection of appliances could be for instance, from pressurized gas container to a regulator, or a regulator to an appliance or to a metal tubing — the characteristics and performance requirements of the coupling tails and hose assemblies used with, or manufactured from rubber and plastic hoses and tubing in a temperature range from – 30°C to + 60°C. This standard specify one tubing and one hose. NOTE Rubber and plastics tubing, hoses and assemblies conforming to this standard can be used where contact with appliances having a maximum surface temperature of 90 °C may occur. This standard does not apply to hoses for welding purposes
