This standard contains information about the most important criteria for selection and reference of hoses and connectors, the installation and connection dimensions as well as the requirements for the installation of hose assemblies. The comparative presentation of respective hoses types in Table 1 and Table 2 gives designers guidelines for the selection of hoses (nominal diameter and design) and their appropriate connectors, in case the piping of a system has already been determined. Further, guidelines are given in this standard for storage, life cycle and necessary inspections to ensure the full functionality of those assemblies.
