This document applies to ventilation valves with at least PN 16 in fire water systems "dry" or "wet/dry" according to DIN 14462. This document does not apply to valves for ventilation in "wet" water systems for fire extinguishing in accordance with DIN 14462. This document does not apply to ventilation valves in drinking water installations or air separators for use in closed heating systems. This document is not applicable for components in underground water supply systems according to DIN EN 805 or DVGW worksheet W 400.
