This document applies to roller contact tipper vehicles (referred to in this document as hooklift vehicles) up to a maximum total mass of 12 t, interchangeable loader devices and roll-off containers. The height of the receiving device is 900 mm (type 900). This document specifies: requirements (including acceptance) for hooklift vehicles; requirements for the interchangeable loader device; requirements for the roll-off container. Hooklift vehicles consist of an interchangeable loader device and a chassis, and are used to transport roll-off containers as in 5.4. The interchangeable loader device is used to place roll-off containers as in 5.4 onto hooklift vehicles, and to remove and empty such containers. The roll-off containers are used to hold materials for transport. The specifications for interchangeable loader devices and roll-off containers in this document ensure the interchangeability of roll-off containers.
