This part of ISO 14577 specifies a method for the calibration of reference blocks to be used for the indirect verification of testing machines for the instrumented indentation test, as specified in ISO 14577-2. NOTE The reference blocks may be calibrated in accordance with the field of application of the testing machine or with the materials parameters which are to be determined.
