This Standard specifies the dimensions, shape, technical requirements, testing method and acceptance regulations, package marking and quality certificate of stainless steel bars (the general term for round, square, flat, hexagonal and octagonal steel, shortened as steel bars in the following parts). This Standard is applicable to hot rolled and wrought stainless steel bars with dimensions (diameter, side length, thickness or opposite side distance, shortened as dimensions in the following parts) no bigger than 250 mm. Through negotiation between the suppliers and the acquirer, hot rolled and wrought stainless steel bars with dimensions bigger than 250 mm can also be supplied.
