Scope
This part of ISO 9455 specifes a method for the determination of the effcacy of a soft soldering fux. The method is known as the solder spread method of fller metal and is applicable to all fux classes defned in ISO 9454-1.NOTE An alternative method for the determination of the fux effcacy, applicable to liquid fuxes only, known as the wetting balance method, is specifed in ISO 9455-16.[3]
