Keramiska plattor

Byggkeramik är keramiska plattor, kakelplattor, klinkerplattor och mosaik. De används på golv och väggar och deras egenskaper innebär att de uppfyller en mängd olika krav. Målgruppen för arbetet är till exempel plattsättare, myndigheter, provningsinstitut, leverantörer, försäkringsbolag och kommuner.

EU har lagt mandat till den europeiska standardiseringen att ta fram harmoniserade standarder för en rad olika byggmaterial. Det finns redan idag harmoniserade standarder för plattor, tätskiktsmaterial och fästmassa.

I olika våtrumsmiljöer, oavsett om det är bostadsbadrum eller publika badanläggningar, är förutsättningarna beroende av fästmassa, fog, betong, armering, konstruktion samt utformning, såväl som det keramiska ytskiktet. Därför kommer eventuellt även standardisering av våtrumssystem att ingå i kommitténs arbete.

Den svenska kommittén kommer även att följa det internationella arbetet som sker inom byggkeramik.
