Additiv tillverkning

Additiv tillverkning är den allmänna termen för de tekniker som skapar fysiska objekt utifrån 3D modelldata genom successiv tillsats av material, oftast lager på lager. Additiv tillverkning gör det möjligt att bygga delar med mycket komplexa geometrier utan avancerade och dyra verktyg och med mycket lite materialspill. Denna teknik används för olika tillämpningar inom verkstadsindustrin, medicin, utbildning, arkitektur, kartografi, leksaker och underhållning. Syftet med standardiseringen är att underlätta för tillverkare och användare och främja utvecklingen inom området för additiv tillverkning.

Sedan 2011 pågår standardiserings-arbete inom ISO/TC 261, Additive manufacturing. Den svenska kommittén SIS/TK 563 Additiv tillverkning bevakar och deltar i det internationella arbetet för att skapa internationell standard och där arbeta för att säkerställa svenska intressen. Sverige har en strategiskt viktig roll i arbetet, som ansvarig för arbetsgruppen för terminologi, ISO/TC 261/WG 1.

En huvuddel i strategin är det nära samarbetet mellan ISO/TC 261 och ASTM F 42, där målet är att ta fram en uppsättning gemensamma standarder för additiv tillverkning. Arbetet i ISO/TC 261/WG 1 är direkt kopplat till arbetet i Joint Group Terminology.

Inom CEN har CEN/TC 438 Additive manufacturing skapats. Syftet med den europeiska kommittén är främst att göra standarderna som tas fram inom ISO/ASTM-samarbetet till europeiska standarder.

SIS/TK 563 stod som värd för internationella möten om additiv tillverkning
