Karaktärisering av avfall, mark och slam

Standarder för analyser av avfall, mark och slam är viktiga verktyg för undersökning av vår yttre miljö. I takt med att föroreningar sprider sig till t.ex. mark och till grundvatten ökar kraven på bestämning och bedömning av de olika ämnena. För att säkra och övervaka vår miljö är det därför viktigt att det finns metodstandarder för miljöanalyser. Tillämpningen av dem ger jämförbara och tillförlitliga resultat som kan användas över hela världen i kampen att rädda vår miljö.

Produktguide - Standarder för undersökning och riskbedömning av förorenad mark

Produktguiden ger en översikt över standarder som är tillämpbara vid undersökning, karaktärisering och riskbedömning av jord från förorenade områden. Syftet med guiden är att ge vägledning kring vilka standarder som finns att tillgå för att utföra provtagning, provberedning och olika typer av analyser av förorenad jord.

Standarderna som presenteras i denna produktguide kan ses som ett komplement till det vägledningsmaterial som Naturvårdsverket har tagit fram för arbetet med förorenade områden och SGFs Fälthandbok "Undersökningar av förorenade områden" Läs mer i produktguiden.

Om kommittéarbete

Sverige deltar sedan länge i det internationella standardiseringsarbete som bedrivs inom områdena avfall, mark och slam. Standarderna ska göra det möjligt att på ett effektivt sätt ta och bereda prover, analysera och bestämma koncentrationen av olika ämnen och föroreningar i avfall, lakvatten, mark, jord och slam. Vid behov och på initiativ av intressenterna kan TK 535 utarbeta rent nationella standarder.

Kommittén har som mål att:

• delta i och påverka utformningen av CEN- och ISO standarder, rapporter och tekniska specifikationer inom avfalls- marks- och slamområdena.

• tekniska kommittén ska utgöra referensforum för svensk medverkan och agerande i det internationella arbetet. Genom aktiv medverkan inom ISO och CEN ska svenska intressenter beredas möjlighet att påverka utvecklingen av standarderna på ett sätt som gagnar deras intressen i ett globalt perspektiv.

• vid behov utarbeta nationella standarder och rapporter

• införa ISO- och CEN standarderna i Sverige

• överväga och vid behov översätta CEN- och ISO standarder till svenska

• samla aktörer inom kommitteens arbetsområden

• vara forum för informationsutbyte på allmän och övergripande nivå mellan näringsliv, myndigheter, organisationer, institutioner, standardiseringsorganisation m.m. inom arbetsområdet.

Under 80-talet bildades det i Sverige tre olika kommittéer för avfall, mark och slam. År 2006 gick kommittéerna för mark och slam samman och bildade en grupp. Några år senare anslöt sig avfallskommittén till denna grupp och de tre tillsammans bildade den 1 januari 2010, Karaktärisering av avfall, mark och slam, TK 535.
