Fasta bränslen

Idag finns det en stor efterfrågan på energikällor som bidrar till att världens totala koldioxidutsläpp minskar och till att den globala uppvärmningen bromsas. Allt fler aktörer övergår från fossila bränslen till förnybara bränslen. Till förnybara bränslen räknas fasta biobränslen, som pellets eller flis men även återvunna bränslen som brännbart avfall från hushåll och industri. I denna omställning spelar standardisering en viktig roll för att underlätta handel och användning av fasta bränslen samt för att minska de risker som kan uppkomma vid användning och hantering av dessa bränsletyper.

Kommittén för Fasta bränslen, SIS/TK 412, arbetar aktivt för att påverka innehåll och riktlinjer för framtida standarder, både nationellt och globalt. Standardiseringsarbetet gäller både fasta biobränslen och fasta återvunna bränslen.

Målet är att få acceptans för svenska synpunkter i den europeiska och globala standardiseringen. Ur svenskt perspektiv är det viktigt att ha gemensamma metoder för provtagning, testning och klassificering av bränslena, vilket underlättar internationell handel. Gemensam terminologi är i detta sammanhang också mycket värdefullt.

Påverka nationellt och internationellt

Kommittén skapar ett forum för svenskt agerande i den europeiska och globala standardiseringen.  Standardiseringsarbetet säkerställer därmed att bränslena tillverkas efter marknadens krav, vilket underlättar handeln.

Sverige har genom SIS/TK 412 Fasta bränslen tagit på sig ett stort internationellt ansvar och leder arbetet i följande internationella grupper:
