Kärnenergi

Få verksamheter har så höga krav på säkerhet som kärnkraftsproduktion. Det är vår övertygelse att användandet av internationellt accepterade krav och provningsmetoder vid hantering, import och export av nukleär utrustning och radioaktivt material är en förutsättning för att skapa en kärnkraftsverksamhet som är säker för både människor och miljö.

Målet för den internationella kommittén, där vi aktivt deltar, är att förbättra effektivitet, säkerhet och strålskydd för all kärnteknisk verksamhet och upprätthålla den nuvarande globaliseringen av marknader med nya internationella standarder. Vår kommittés mål är att samla svensk erfarenhet inom området kärnenergi för att effektivt kunna påverka den internationella utvecklingen inom området.

Ett annat mål är att alla relevanta ISO-standarder överförs till svensk standard allteftersom de kommer fram.

Dessutom syftar projektet till att ge de deltagande företagen möjlighet att dra nytta av det kunskapsutbyte som sker både inom Sverige och internationellt i anknytning till standardiseringen.

Tonvikten ligger för närvarande på strålskydds- och bränslefrågor, reaktorsäkerhet samt säkerhet vid avfallshantering.

Målgruppen för projektet är representanter för anläggningsägare, tillståndsgivande och kontrollerande myndigheter samt forskningsinstitut.

Påverka nationellt och internationellt

Kommittén deltar aktivt i kommittén ISO/TC 85 "Nuclear energy, nuclear technology and radiological protection" och i flera av dess arbetsgrupper.

Kommittén vill bidra till den internationella efterfrågan på en harmonisering av regler, normer och föreskrifter.

Omfattningen av ISO/TC 85 är en standardisering inom området för fredliga tillämpningar av kärnenergi och i fråga om skydd för enskilda personer och för miljön mot alla källor till joniserande strålning. Det omfattar huvudsakligen:

  • kärnbränslecykeln;
  • kärnkraftsreaktorer;
  • strålskydd vid alla kärntekniska teknik och tillämpningar för joniserande strålning
