Betong

Betong är ett av våra vanligaste byggmaterial. Möjligheten att välja olika betongkvaliteter för skilda ändamål är mycket stor, liksom formbarheten och beständigheten. Många faktorer inverkar på den färdiga betongens egenskaper. SIS tekniska kommitté Betong arbetar aktivt för att påverka europeiska och globala standarder för betong.

Standardiseringen bedrivs huvudsakligen inom den europeiska standardiseringsorganisationen CEN. Europastandarderna inom betongområdet har en väsentlig teknisk och ekonomisk betydelse för många inom byggsektorn. Detta gäller även för hela vårt samhälle eftersom stora ekonomiska värden investeras i betongkonstruktioner. I pågående CEN-arbete är det således viktigt att svenska synpunkter och erfarenheter tillräckligt beaktas. Beständighetsfrågan, och då särskilt beständigheten i nordiskt klimat, är av särskilt stort intresse för oss framöver. Generellt sett verkar vi för användning av funktionskrav/funktionsprovningar i stället för deskriptiva krav.
