SIS is part of a Sida funded ITP programme with focus on Quality infrastructure and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT). It is Swedac, Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity assessment that is holding the contract with Sida and manage the ITP.
The main purpose is to build capacity among institutions within quality infrastructure, where SIS is responsible for the standardisation component. During three days, SIS is sharing experience and building capacity on standard development, stakeholder engagement, how SIS is working with standards (sales of standards, marketing and communication, international relations etc.) and the European (CEN) and international (ISO) standardisation processes. More concrete hands-on training are given on ISO 14001, environmental management and ISO 9001, quality management.
The selected experts are in total four weeks in Sweden and visit various Government agencies and institutions within the quality infrastructure sector.
