This document specifies requirements and recommendations for temporary safety barriers and fences for vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists, and users on electric bicycles) in connection with road and construction works.

The document does not cover the following items:

permanent installations,temporary traffic control devices for other vehicular traffic, orroad closure devices in connection with special events and similar activities.
