Hjälpmedel

Hjälpmedel kan skapa ökad självständighet, delaktighet och tillgänglighet i vardagen. Standarder bidrar till att hjälpmedel och tillgänglighetslösningar är säkra, funktionella och utformade med användarnas behov i centrum. TK 344 Hjälpmedel samlar svenska intressenter inom ett brett och internationellt standardiseringsområde.

Kommittén arbetar med standardisering av hjälpmedel och tillgänglighetslösningar. Arbetet bedrivs inom tolv nationella arbetsgrupper och omfattar områden som kan sammanfattas i fem teman:

Förflyttning och personlig vård, standarder för rullstolar, gånghjälpmedel, personlyftar, sängar och hygienhjälpmedel.
Ortopediska och kroppsnära hjälpmedel, standarder för ortoser och proteser samt inkontinens- och stomiprodukter.
Kommunikation, monitorering och kognition, exempelvis kommunikationshjälpmedel, kognitiva hjälpmedel och övervaknings- och larmsystem.
Assistanshundar, standarder för assistanshundar och deras användning.
Klassifikation och terminologi, klassificering av hjälpmedel och gemensamma begrepp inom området.

Varför standardisering?

Standarder skapar gemensamma krav på säkerhet, funktion och användbarhet. De kan underlätta utveckling, provning och upphandling samt bidra till att hjälpmedel bättre möter användarnas behov.

När användare, företag, vård och omsorg, myndigheter och andra berörda aktörer deltar kan olika erfarenheter och perspektiv tas till vara i utvecklingen av framtidens hjälpmedel.

Kommittén samlar representanter från bland annat företag, funktionsrättsorganisationer, vård och omsorg, myndigheter, forskning, fackförbund och konsumentorganisationer.

Som deltagare kan du engagera dig i det eller de specialistområden som är relevanta för din verksamhet. Du får möjlighet att påverka framtida standarder, följa utvecklingen och bidra med kunskap från exempelvis användning, utveckling, upphandling eller tillhandahållande av hjälpmedel.

Svenskt inflytande internationellt

Kommittén deltar i ett omfattande europeiskt och internationellt standardiseringsarbete. SIS innehar sekretariaten för de internationella kommittéerna, ISO/TC 173 Assistive products och CEN/TC 293 Assistive products and accessibility, vilket ger svenska intressenter en nära koppling till utvecklingen av internationella och europeiska standarder.

Standarderna utvecklas i europeiska och internationella arbetsgrupper där svenska experter deltar. Kommittén och dess nationella arbetsgrupper samordnar det svenska deltagandet och de svenska ståndpunkterna.
