Robots and robotic devices

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards.
SIS, Swedish Standards Institute participates as a working partner in the global and European standardization networks, ISO and CEN.

Robot standards facilitate trade, design, purchasing and use of robots, as well as enhance competition from a common platform. The work is currently focused on the development of safety standards for industrial robot applications and robots in personal care.

Among the participants of the international robot standardisation within ISO you will find manufacturers, users, research institutes and authorities. They all take part to ensure that their interests and requirements are considered in the standards development process.
