Local transportation
Public transport by Metro, buses and commuter trains in the Stockholm area is operated by SL. Metro entrances are marked with a big blue "T" on a circular white sign. Prepaid tickets can be purchased in advance, for instance at the Central station. It is also possible to purchase tickets by text message from the mobile phone.

Business hours
Banks are generally opened between 09:00 and 15:00 on weekdays. Some banks in central Stockholm are open from 09:00 to 17:00. Shops are generally opened between 10:00 and 18:00 or later on weekdays and from 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.

The weather in november is usually cold and rainy at approximately 0-5 C.
Currency /Credit cards
The official currency is Swedish Krona (SEK).
USD 1 = SEK 7,3 (October 2009)
EUR 1 = SEK 10,6 (October 2009).
Major credit cards are accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops. It is advisable to carry an identity card or any form of photo identification.
Electricity supply
Electrical current in Sweden is 230 V/50Hz. Round, European-style two-pin plugs are used. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.

Sweden operates standard GSM-based and UMTS (3G) cell phone systems.
