SIS is open to all. Companies, agencies, non-profit organizations and cooperative societies – all are equally welcome. It’s your needs and your wishes that provide the driving force and determine what we do. As a SIS member, your company or organization is able to join any of the technical committees you choose.

Chance to participate
As a SIS member, your company or organization is entitled to participate in technical committees, enabling you to have an impact on future standards in your specific industry. This participation gives you access to advance information about developments and new standards in your field. By participating, you have the chance to influence future standards while simultaneously establishing valuable contacts with customers, as well as with competitors, government agencies and others in your field, in Sweden and elsewhere.
Meeting of the SIS council
When attending SIS council meetings as a member, you play an important role in developing the organization’s operations. Each member has a vote. By exercising this vote, your company or organization is able to influence SIS’ general focus.
Theme-based conference
In conjunction with the council meeting, SIS arranges a theme-based conference. Members are entitled to participate in this event free of charge.
Customer magazine
Standard Magazine is SIS members’ own magazine. The magazine combines brief snippets of news with some in-depth reporting. We wish to communicate the benefits and value of standards and standardization. Each issue features two special SIS member pages. The magazine is published quarterly. SIS also publishes several electronic newsletters, including SIS Standard News, which is published eleven times a year.
Advisory service
Membership of SIS includes a cost-free advisory service. This service comprises general advice within SIS’ sphere of activity.
Training in standardization
As a member of SIS, you have the possibility of participating free of charge in specific courses in standardization.
Membership discounts
As a member of SIS, you are entitled to a 10% discount when making bookings for the SIS Conference Centre.

Annual membership fee
The annual subscription comprises membership and a service fee. The service fee is linked to the operational sphere in which you as a member are engaged, and the money is used to finance standardization activities.
SIS members pay a subscription of SEK 4 000 per calendar year, of which SEK 500 is a membership fee and SEK 3 500 a service fee.
SIS members that are publicly quoted business corporations, unlimited partnerships or private businesses with sales of less than SEK 20 million, as well as non-profit organizations for private individuals, pay subscription of SEK 2 000 per calendar year, of which SEK 500 is a membership fee and SEK 1 500 a service fee.
